Peringatan Hari Ulang Tahun ke-80 Mahkamah Agung Republik Indonesia bukan sekadar seremonial. Lebih dari itu, ia adalah momentum untuk merenungkan kembali arti peradilan sebagai pilar tegaknya sebuah negara hukum.
Dalam doa yang terpanjat di berbagai rangkaian acara peringatan, kita menemukan pesan mendalam: Mahkamah Agung telah menapaki jalan pengabdian selama delapan dekade, menjadi tiang penyangga keadilan dan benteng terakhir marwah hukum. Harapan rakyat pada lembaga peradilan bukanlah sekadar formalitas, melainkan kebutuhan nyata—keadilan harus dapat diteguk laksana mata air jernih, memberi kepastian, memberi mamfaat dan keadilan serta mengikis kecurangan, dan menjunjung integritas.
Tema peringatan kali ini, “Pengadilan Bermartabat, Negara Berdaulat”, bukan hanya slogan. Martabat peradilan adalah cermin dari kedaulatan bangsa. Bila hakim dan aparatur peradilan menjunjung kejujuran, keberanian berkata benar, serta keteguhan pada amanah, maka bangsa ini akan semakin kokoh di mata rakyat dan dunia.
Namun, bila peradilan kehilangan arah, tunduk pada kepentingan sesaat, atau tercemar praktik yang meruntuhkan integritas, maka rapuh pula kedaulatan hukum yang menjadi sandaran negara.
Delapan puluh tahun perjalanan Mahkamah Agung adalah catatan sejarah. Tetapi yang lebih penting adalah langkah ke depan—membangun peradilan yang bersih, transparan, dan berorientasi pada keadilan substantif. Di tengah tantangan zaman, doa dan harapan yang terucap menjadi pengingat bahwa peradilan bukan sekadar institusi, melainkan amanah ilahi untuk menjaga keadilan bagi seluruh rakyat Indonesia.
