Kasat Lantas Polres Sumenep AKP Nasution, SH melalui Kasi Humas AKP Widiarti, SH membenarkan adanya kejadian kecelakaan di jalan Nasional Rong Erong Bluto.

Menurut AKP Widiarti, SH laka tunggal tersebut terjadi terhadap mobil truk tronton bermuatan semen.
Lanjut AKP Widi, truk tronton melaju dari arah barat Surabaya menuju ke selatan Kota Sumenep, namun setelah sampai di TKP tak mampu menanjak sehingga merosot mundur.
Akibat kejadian tersebut, seluruh kendaraan roda empat dan bus terpaksa dialihkan lewat memutar. Yang dari arah barat harus lewat lobuk ke Timur dan keluar di pertelon saronggi, begitupun sebaliknya yang dari sumenep putar ke kiri di pertelon, Tanjung terus memutar ke Rong erong.
Pengemudi minibus H. Safiudin, SH., MH ditemui media ini, menyatakan capek memutar. Mudah – mudahan besok sudah selesai dievakuasi, terangnya.
